We start off with a real easy day. Choose to wander through Port Vila’s colourful markets, grab a tasty lunch from the mamas, or add a little adventure with a zip-line ride or kava tasting. If relaxing’s more your style, stretch out by the pool with a cocktail in hand.

The Ifira & Pango Coast Swim

One of the highlights of our Port Vila Experience is a spectacular coastal swim using one of our local support boats, which stays with us throughout the journey.

We’ll head out from Port Vila and swim around Ifira Island, before making our way across towards the beautiful Pango Coast and continuing down the coastline towards Paradise Resort, where we can get out, relax and enjoy lunch.

There are distances for everyone, with approximately 500m, 1km, 2km and 4km swim options available.

And because our boat follows the swimmers throughout the course, you’re never locked into a distance. If you’ve had enough, want a rest or simply decide that today is a shorter-swim kind of day, you can climb aboard at any time.

It means stronger swimmers can take on the full journey while those wanting something shorter can enjoy exactly the same experience at their own pace.

Beautiful coastline, warm tropical water, a support boat beside you and lunch waiting at the finish — this is exactly what a SwimVanuatu swim day should feel like.

One of the standout days of the Port Vila Experience takes us out on the water with Captain Tom for a full-day sailing adventure exploring the beautiful islands of Moso and Lelepa.

We’ll spend the day cruising through clear tropical water, stopping in sheltered bays and spectacular swimming locations that are only really accessible by boat.

Our first swim takes us through the waters around Moso and Lelepa, with incredible visibility, reefs, island scenery and that unmistakable Vanuatu blue water all around us.

After the swim, we’ll climb back aboard, relax on deck and enjoy lunch on the sailing boat with Captain Tom. There’s no rush here — just good food, warm weather, great company and one of the best views you could ask for.

Depending on conditions, there may also be the opportunity for a second swim out to a shipwrecked sailing yacht, adding another completely different experience to the day.

As with all SwimVanuatu swims, the emphasis is on enjoying the water rather than racing through it. Swim as much or as little as you like, then jump back aboard, grab a drink and enjoy the journey.

Island hopping, tropical swimming, a sailing boat, lunch on deck and a possible shipwreck swim — this is Vanuatu adventure at its best.

Take on a new point-to-point swim through Havannah Harbour, starting near the World War II Museum on Efate and finishing at Gideon’s Landing.

This is a spectacular stretch of water, known for its deep blue colour, clear tropical conditions and beautiful harbour scenery.

Along the way, you’ll also get the chance to see the giant clams being repopulated in the area, adding something truly unique to the swim.

It’s a brilliant mix of open-water adventure, history and marine life — and another completely new swim for the Port Vila Experience.

Today we take you on a tour of the east side of the island, stopping at some of Vanuatu’s most famous natural wonders — the Blue Lagoon, the white sands of Eton Beach, and the breathtaking Cascades Waterfalls. It’s a day of swimming, exploring, and soaking in the island’s raw beauty.
