From the ocean to the island of fire!

After a short 40-minute domestic flight, we arrive on the wild and wonderfully authentic island of Tanna, where all airport transfers are included.

Our home for the next few nights is White Grass Ocean Resort & Spa, a beautiful boutique resort perched on Tanna’s stunning coastline. With tropical gardens, ocean views and a laid-back island atmosphere, it’s the perfect place to slow down and settle into Tanna life.

All main meals are included on Tanna so there’s nothing to think about other than where you’d like to explore next!

In the afternoon we’ll get our first taste of the island, taking in some of Tanna’s fascinating sights and local life. We’ll visit the Tanna Organic Coffee hulling plant and explore Lenakel Market. Our journey continues along the coastline and finishing at the incredible Giant Banyan Tree — one of the largest recorded in the world.

It’s the perfect introduction to Tanna — a little culture, a little adventure and plenty of island magic.

The highlight of any visit to Tanna is Yasur Volcano!

Your afternoon safari to Yasur will take you through many highland villages before arriving at the
startling moonscape of Yasur’s ash plain.

From there we visit the cultural village of Imaio, to experience Tanna culture and kastom, with spectacular
views across to the smoking volcano. We then take an exhilarating drive up the volcano’s slopes, followed by a 10-15 minute walk to the crater’s edge (dependent on volcano activity at the time). As the sun sets, the true
power of the volcano becomes apparent as volcanic explosions ring in your ears and molten lava lights up the sky.

A truly unforgettable experience!

Travel by boat along a magical limestone coast to the amazing Lemnap (Blue) Cave.

A short dive underwater (approx. 1/2 meter, depends on tide) and you are inside the stunning natural grotto, 60 meters in diameter, which is lit by a shaft of light filtering down through a 5-meter hole in the cave roof.

The effect is breathtaking!

Next up a two-hour guided snorkeling adventure by boat to Circus Reef and/ or Turtle Reef.
Crystal clear waters, a myriad of reef fish and the chance of spotting a turtle or even a dugong!
Snorkel equipment provided and

Marine Park fee also included.

After breakfast, transfer to Tanna Airport and take the included domestic flight back to Port Vila.

From here you can take your flight home or extend your stay and explore Vanuatu further.
